Barrio VENTILADO FEST 2012.
Cchwnn.
Kingsville, TX. Hello raza I am Santa
Cecilia la que te canta, I am this year’s moderator for our Ventilado FEST
2012, form. I will be join by our own make believe conjuntos and Tejano make
belief barrio music award winners. This year’s panel will include;
Lil Red, del conjunto Lil red y los 4
mariachi guys.
Lupe Lulu, Del conjunto ZULU.
Poncho palacios, Del conjunto poncho y
pancha palacios ppp.
Internet radio Hurricane D. J. PALO.
Nancy Adams Ruiz, owner of Michelle
records.
Fideo Vermicelli de cchwnn
correspondent.
This year’s program will deal with
internet radio and you.
Here is a list of things that will be
discussed and a short and long goal plan for the implementation of goals set by
the panel:
1. How to get new bands on old radios stations,
either on the radio waves or internet.
2. What it takes to market your music.
3. The new world of music
looks very different from the old. With the new Web, services' listeners don't
put CDs into a stereo or download tunes to their iPod. Instead, their music
sits on a server somewhere else, waiting to be played from a computer or any
other Net-connected device.
4. Some record labels are
looking at other ways they can squeeze value from the growth in streaming
music. Thanks to these online services, you have a lot of real-time data about
what's happening with a piece of music in the market.
5. Quality. We need a new format that will
deliver better quality sound to drive the Tejano business forward. Period. Here is a true clarion call
for innovation, and something that we all need to pay attention to. The sad part is no one really cares about
music anymore.
6. ignore
the realities of the marketplace today, but instead chooses to push the agenda
forward and don’t stop.
7. Many need to be
aware of a few areas of business: Artist Management, Negotiation & Deal
Making, Media Publishing & Distributio, Business Plan Development and Brand Development & Story Telling about
your music.
So those are the
main issues that will be discussed. Thanks and I am sure we won’t see you
there. Have a great Tejano day..
