And now somewhat good news.

Yesterday afternoon was more or less a good day for many folks in hood when they found out que if you hadn’t paid your bills by the 16 of this month the downtown barrio Christmas displays might be shut down. Barrio leaders feel que if you don’t pay you can’t play, what the hell that means who knows.  

As we reported this morning que barrio 8 ball was back in town, we just got word that the amount to be given has gone from $10.50 to $12.42. some barrio members are already lined up at the local stores for this exciting event. Oh a historical remark. One of the major issue with this 8ball is que the last time we had 350 winners and only had $14.50 to give away. Chinga. Good luck raza.

Now that barrio resident, have been informed que the first of the year 2016, there will be no cable, or internet services anywhere around till the year 2017. So barrio members have organized a group called up and down , will show cast and bring back the idea of driving up and down main street like we did many many many years ago. One of its members tells us, since gas is cheaper I don’t see why anyone would want to stay home.  It’s going to be great getting to see old friend again.

El constable and his officers are getting lots of chit about the shooting  a barrio resident that has no hands. It seems that there is no proof or evidence that this happen but we got word that a man was taken to St.Pauls Medical center at the mall con some gun shots to the head, and body. El constable didn’t return our call but we did get some idea what happen. It seems que Manule Gonzales a barrio resident that lost his both hands a few years ago was accused of trying to steal some food from that man who rides his bicycle around the hood selling stuff.  While attempting to steal an orange, banana and a pineapple all at the same time. He was asked to put the stuff down when the constable got there but since he had his mouth full he couldn’t answer his request, so he was shot a few times and once he fell to the ground all the stuff in his mouth fell out and it is reported that he said, que onda, I paid for this con my stamps. A full investigation will be done on this matter.
