La Gringa
Novela 2015, episode two: “Dyed my hair
red, it’s the stylish new look”.
Paris,
france. Hello again, Francisco Delegado De Gaulle with our
premier edition of La Gringa Novela with Beautiful Binacka Blanco, now with our
episode two “Dyed my hair red, it’s the stylish new look”.
This episode I will talk about the color of my hair, or shall
I say my dyed red hair. The color red is actually a very attractive, in my
opinion it’s a very eye-catching, and human eyes usually go to red. Now this
rule doesn’t really apply to everyone, because red hair doesn’t look good on
every one that is why I suggest wearing a red dress instead.
Look here in my hood I suspect that most barrio women who dye
their hair red do it because it’s attention-getting, and because that suits
their personalities, if they even have one.
Well this is how my story starts. I do all my shopping on our
side of the tracks, but once in a while I get this wild hair up my nose and go
shopping at those larger stores across the tracks. Well one day I came across
the most outrages passion cherry red color dye and decided to buy the whole
kit.
As I sat home all next day working on my new look, that
outrages passion cherry red dye and trying not to ruin my bathroom sink and
floor I gentle worked that into my hair and following them instructions, I told
myself I will be the only one in the hood looking extravagance, stylishness,
glamour’s and ready to attract that mate, you know because the color red is the
color of passion, I told myself.
I didn’t come out of my home for a few days waiting for this
new look to sink in and made sure that it looked as real as possible. You know something like when you cook beans,
for some reason they taste better a few days later. But yet this awful thought
back of my head told me that there was no freaking way that any of “las chicas”
I have talked about would darn to go across the tracks and purchase this high
price, high styling color dye nevertheless this outrages passion cherry red.
But as we all know our barrio never lets us down, never the
less those Latinas, Chicanas, Tejanas known as my friends, knowing how bad they want to be me,
look like me, act like me, dress like me, it’s an never ending challenge, and
of course this is the case here.
As I prepare to go out that evening, I looked at my new look
and told myself there aren’t no way anyone I know can out match me, never the
less match my hair color. Oh yea. But as I sat in my kitchen eating my dinner
and decide to read my daily newspaper I read something more shocking that a
heart attack. I found out that the outrages passion cherry red color dye kit,
the one that made me look like one of a kind, had gone on sale half price and
was sold one in less than one hour, that’s what the paper said.
Oh my god I told myself, looking out my kitchen window very
carefully and hoping not to notice anyone all of a sudden having that outrages
passion cherry red color dye hair! But like I said earlier we all know our
barrio never lets us down, never the less those Latinas, Chicanas, Tejanas
known as my friends, knowing how bad they want to be me, look like me, act
like me, dress like me, and a never ending challenge.
So I carefully covered my hair with a large
towel and got into my car and drove to my favorite bar and excitedly wanting to
show the new me. But you know that won’t happen. So when I entered my favorite
club, there that small group of chica’s that love to go the same place I go and
they just sit there watching me and wishing they look as good as I did. Oh my
god, well they sure did, they must have gotten paid earlier this month because
every single woman in the place had dye their hair that outrages passion cherry
red color. I am a Gringa and this is my story, and this is my Novela.
