Westinghouse barrio mall newsletter for03312010
Cchwnn.

Kingsville,tx. Hello I am Gloria Guerra con this week’s barrio mall newsletter. Well first of all let’s go con el general fideo vermicelli con last week’s dog show report.

General: si Gloria thank you and did we have a wild weekend. This past week it was not announced
pero we had our annual “ here boy” dog show and con our special speak Pedro the dog love, better
known here in our hood as “the barrio dog mutter”. Well things start off on the right foot but somehow
got off to the left foot. It seems que pedro must have had too much to drink the night before, because
he wasn’t as good has he has before. In his effort to show folks how to control a pit bull attack,
seemed to go wrong. Pedro the dog love better known here in our hood as “the barrio dog mutter”
was seriously bitten and was taken or walked right over to our st. pauls medical center here in the
mall. His conditions are not known at this time. Hey Gloria we did learn something for esta vato,
chinga, and that was “ here boy” doesn’t work all the time. Now back to Gloria.

Well thanks general and I will try to remember that, chinga here boy. Oh well, in other news lets go to
our sports complex center con Frankie tuxedo zungia.

Frankie: si Gloria we don’t have the results of this years taqucha baseball championship due to the
fact que the scores couldn’t be confirmed due to the fact que el comparde juan cortez was the offical
on duty, got drunk and pissed off and took the scorebook records with him. At the present time we
have not seen or heard from esta pincha way. Now we are pending the results or the entry fee back,
chinga, oh where oh where can our compadre be. Now back to Gloria.

Ok Frankie and good luck, and now a few words from our gal blanca blanch blanco.

Bbb : si Gloria now que maria la vandia is back in town it seems que el creator Daniel has established
an office for her and her barrio news network, we wish this bitch had never come back…oops,, I meant
glad this bitch is back and now back to Gloria.

Well bbb I don’t know if maria is a bitch or not, that’s up to our creator Daniel.

But for now we will leave it alone. I am Gloria from the mall, have a great tejano day, and we will not
be on line again till next month around the mid week. Again have a great Easter and watch out for the kids.

hejola report for 03302010

Hejola report for 03302010.
Cchwnn.
Kingsville,tx. Hello once again y como estan todos? Hello I am bill Diaz and now let’s go live to our remote coverage from our primo y prima garage sale, y our correspondent veronica la Lebanon.
Si my amigos it’s been a long time since you have heard from me pero I have been undercover.
I am not sure if our creator has mention to you que a few months ago I too graduated from el ojo barrio private school. And since the school promised that when you finish you have a job, well, there is where I have been con that job,
Anyhow let’s go our headline news from el primo y la prima garage sale located at the corner of wells and third street.:
Several new homes are being building where the old wells street was,
Several old homes are being knocked down on Wells Street, just in case,
And finally building permits are being question by real city officials.
Yesterday after noon a warrant was issued for our side of the tracks for BARRIO’S UNAUTHORIZED TAX COLLECTO (a position, please note must be willing to take a bite once in awhile, and as long he promise to do what the bite was about, really.) henry Alvarado Montana, age 56.
We are really not certain que the warrant says about mr montana, pero we heard que it might be que esta vato might have gone across the tracks to collect from some raza that moved over there, without the bit of the month. Somehow someone told them que the barrio tax, it didn’t count over here, so they called the cops.
The police report says que etsa montana la puso el doddge and wang was gone in a second. So the real cops are looking for him over here to talk con el. We think it has to do con the building permits of all those new homes, which brings us to our next story,
The city has stopped all construction at south third and warrior street. It seems que since the city closed this street about twenty years ago; many of the old home owner’s relatives have declared the abandon city street, their front yard, since it’s been their front lawns for their home all along this abandon street for at least twenty years. The city did not comment nor none of the barrio officials were available.

Oh but some good news, the city has decided to get ready and knock down some old homes and make new room for those that are getting ready to be run off the city abandon street now them folks call their front yard.. pess hejola.

That’s the news and now let’s go to la prima y el primo.
El prim: buen thank you
La prim: me too,
Ok so tell us what we got going here at this week garage sale?

El prim: it’s really not a garage sale, es que we have lots of stuff que we find, and we buy and we trade and people gives us and if I see things in the street or in mid of the side walk I might just take it, basically I love dumpsters, So you can see que we have chingos de things.

La prim; we just want to let you know que we also have tamales for sale and a little deer meat y fresh llama meat, but don’t tell too many people porque I think they are looking for that poor little llama que got run over in the street que we found y…… con a bullet wound to the head, so we brought it home to see if we could bring it back to life.
Well la prima don’t worry. Anyhow thanks to both of you for sponsoring our remote broadcast the rest of the week except tomorrow, we will be live here at la prima y el primo garage during the week sales. Come one and come all, the only deals we lose dese el primo are the ones he don’t know about.. see you raza, and like jv says stay tejano.

Kingsville,tx. Now that man that dresses like a woman behind closed doors here is David duran.
Heaveno raza, Come on man give me a break, now for the headline news:
Barrio constable arrests gringo man for trespassing and shooting dog,
Brain injury vato arrested for threaten persons at mall and rubbing unknown objects on the ground,
And finally barrio residents build mini racetrack in their back yard.
Yesterday afternoon, el constable along con several law enforcement agents raided los canales wetland mini-bmx-raced track that was craved into los canales wetland behind their home. It seems que they were operating this racetrack without a permit or need insurances in case someone got hurt. In addition to this several barrio residents were complaining about the noise it had created. Once the law enforcement agents advise the canales about this illegal track, he and several of his family members went over to his neighboring apartment complex and began knocking on doors wanting to know who called the police.
La seniora Martinez who lives in that complex, was very frighten by los canales family members, they were very aggressive and verbally abusive and she was very concerned for her safety and the well being of others there. The constable once again returned to the canales home and talked to him and his friends. Mr. canales said he wouldn’t be banging on doors again, but did say que he would continue to use his racetrack just for personal use. The constable said que he would continue to patrol the hood to make sure que the noise level is within the limits.

A few weeks ago we reported que a Anglo operated tour company had added to their site the biggest mesquite tree in the county on their sites to visit. It so happens que this tree is in the hood. Well this weekend a member of the tour bus, jumped out of the bus as it prepared to leave the site. He jumped the fence and trespassed into the private property. At the same time he shot the watch dog “spot” con a dart gun. As he approached the tree witness say que he pulled out an ax and yelled out loud que he was going to chop down the tree. But before he even started several passengers on the tour bus tackled the man and held him down until the constable got there. Constable cadena along con several lalaland employees load the man into the constable’s car and was taken to a mental health facility across the tracks.
And finally if think couldn’t get worse, as the constable was driving el gringo across the track, he got a call from the from the mall que a vato who is known for having a brain injury was reported to be threatening people at the Westinghouse barrio mall parking lot con a water gun and telling them que he was going to shoot ten or twenty of them as they shop. It was also reported que he was also rubbing a rubber hoe on the ground and telling people to stick up their nose. Once the constable got there and arrested the man, he was also taken to mental health facilities across the tracks along con el gringo in the same car.

Well raza there you have it for today, have a great day and que viva la raza.

barrio stock market report for 03262010

barrio stock market report for 032262010.
Cchwnn.
Kingsville, Tx. Now back from vacation here is Urbano Yosabatodo. Como estan todos mi amigos. Hejolia did we get emails from at least one person asking to what happen to our report last week. Well raza like everything else, I was on vacation. I took a few days off and went to the lower valley de tejas. But now I am back and ready for some action Jackson. So now con el barrio stock market report:
Las tortillas: Las tortillas remained stable this past few weeks. It seems que more and more raza are making their own tortillas now a days. Leaving that raza tortilla smell in your whole home. Which we feel is alright, that’s if you are raza. For some reason or another everybody wants a clean smelling home, hejolia well it’s going to be hard, that’s if you making your own tortillas. Tortillas ended the week at $1.10 a dozen.
Los taquitos: well folks we were surprise this morning when we ate at la commadres grill. It seems que we didn’t have to pay for our meal this morning due to que la commadre wanted us to mention her name on our report. Well raza we do encourage every single one of you that can read and understand this report que your local barrio restaurant owners need your business. So stop eating at those major chain restaurants and bring your business closer to home. Taquitos going at $1.45 each and in some cases two for one in larger cities.
Los tamales: los tamales took a drop on price this week. Since the weather is warming up a bit, many barrio consumers find it hard to eat those tamales on very warm days. Now is the time to buy and freeze says Manuel Gonzales a tamale broker. Los tamales going at $4.50 a dozen.
Las empanadas: for many las empanadas comes in at least three favors, but our sources say que there might be a very very very very small change que the price will go down this week sometime. Barrio consumer groups tell us que they have being asking around and since we do report on las empanadas many dealers are willing to lower the price just for us to get off their case. Las empanadas at stable at .89 cent each with no sign of them going down.
Baracoa de caveza: los city commissioners for both sides of the tracks voted yesterday to study the possibilities off banning the selling of beef heads within the city limits. It’s just too much to monitor now with that mad cow disease going around said city commissioner Ernest roughneck. “Them boys need to use some other part of that cow for their barbeque.” says Mr. roughneck. A private group called let me put the finger on you will do the study. The results should be done in ten years. La Baracoa was still at $5.50 a lb.
Cheap beer: barrio store owners pulled a fast one this past weekend in which the majority agreed to raise the price on cheap beer from $3.65 a six pack to $4.95 a six pack. Barrio consumers are being made aware of this increase. One beer drinker said que now the beer is going up, what could be next?

Barrio want ads:

Item #524126: youth clothing for sale all sizes.
Item #85623: women underwear for sale, all sizes.

Barrio realtors report:
Back yard properties are for sale. Make offer.

Ok raza there we have it and have a great tejano day.

hejola report for 03252010

Hejola report for 03252010.
Cchwnn.
Kingsville, TX. Hi, I am bill Diaz con our barrio award winning headline news. Now let’s get to that award winning news:
New rules are impose on parents for this year’s youth baseball league,
Recycle can drive continues this weekend,
And local rain kind of ruined barrio community garden.
This past weekend we were told que the two inches of rain really had an impact on our local barrio community garden. This year’s garden is located at the corner of third and wells. This location was swamped con chingos de water and floods the whole garden, wasting away almost all of this year’s young plant. One of the organizers told us que it’s going to be a real sad year for all those depending on these free vegetables.
In other news, los vatos loco volunteer fire fighters will be standing at their traditional spots this weekend hoping to reach this year’s recycle can goal. This recycle cans are used for our annual Easter Sunday recycle can hunt in the hood, this is a new way to teach our children how to take care of our community and our environment. So if you are drinking and driving, make sure you drop off some of those empty cans and help our kid’s .
And finally our local county community parents group has imposed a new rule to all parents that plan on attending their youth baseball games this season. This new rule will not allow parents or any adult over the age of 21 to chase foul balls for free snow cones. In the last two years three adult parents have either broken a leg or some part of their body as a result of chasing foul balls. This new rule should make more fun for those kids wanting a few snowcone, without having to worry about getting run over by some cheap ass adult that don’t want to pay for a snow cone.

Well there we have it. Oh by the way there is still no update on who will keep panzone caliente’s asses. I am bill diaz and have a great tejano day.

westside warrior news network for 03232010

Westside warrior news network for 03232010.
Cchwnn,
Kingsville,tx. Hi. I am Lewis mojo Lewis with this week’s barrio headline news. But before we get there we have today’s question: How does anyone know If you are tejano? But for now let’s get to our barrio award winning headline news:

Several brothers and sister get hurt at barbeque rally,
City fathers and mothers review barrio plans for some new street repairs for red district.
And finally barbeque fees go up also.
Like if the government wasn’t doing enough to get into yours and my business, it has proposed to implement a barrio fee for those that want to barbeque. The permit would have to be purchases before or on the day you start that fire, you will need to have that permit. If not el constable cadena or one of his aids will sell you that darn permit at your bbq site. You will be fined a small fee, if you violate this new law.
A new plan has been revised for our side of the hood. This plan will replace the old plans that the city had for this side of town. Now the new plans call for new roads for our red district which by the way has only one street left. It seems que when it comes to repairing streets here in Kingsville, it’s cheaper to close and block the street instead of repairing it. That is what this new plans will do for our side of town, we hope. Now if this new plans are calling for closing off some streets it’s not a very good plan. But we can’t comment of this plans because they are not finalized plans. But when the final plan comes down than we will be able to explain this plan to you all.
And finally “our church to save your poor ass” had its annual bar be que hang out this past weekend. Things we going smooth until some white folks came over and asked what you black folks cooking up and if he could buy a plate. Well one brother told that white smart ass que it wasn’t the naacpp or anything like that and no we weren’t selling bbq plates. Well the white dude told our brother that there was no need to be rude, and our soul brother went off and smacked that white dude. Well before you know it all of the rest of the white dude that were with him got into a pushing and fighting mode. Once the el constable and some resident showed up and stopped this whole raid. There were at least seven injured and need some type of medical assistants and two were arrested.

Well folks there you have it for this week’s barrio headline news. I am Lewis mojo Lewis.

spring youth programs and you 2010.

Cchwnn: Spring Youth programs and you 2010.
Kingsville, TX. Hello again I am Frankie Tuxedo Zungia with this exclusive report on Spring Youth programs and you, yes you the parent. As we approach this spring youth programs such as baseball and soccer and who knows what else, you the parent are faced con chingos de decisions. One has to wonder if we even have time to do stuff like that with our children.

You know and I am sure you do our children, am the leaders of tomorrow but am they all going to be leaders, but that’s another issue folks, but for now, let’s talk about your responsibilities as a barrio parent.
First of all don’t complaint about how much it’s going to cost. We got stuff in the garage that we don’t even use. So how about selling some of that stuff to cover any expenses you might occur while you watch panchito play ball. Than there those darn practices. You know if panchito don’t practice he might not grow up to be that team player and that leader we are hoping he grows up to be.

Then there are those games that are held so darn early that you might even have to use some of your leave at work to be able to get there on time. And then to top it off, it might even be your turn as a parent to bring the whole darn team a snack and a drink for after the game.

So let’s say your kid made the practice, then made the game and then only played one inn and batted only one time. Now was that fun or what? Than once he got to hit the ball he was called out by some volunteer umpire that doesn’t know shit from shineola. And to top it off, you were asked to leave because you wanted to argue that bad call.
But way before you got runoff; you bought some refreshments at the ball park. So now you figure that it would have been much cheaper if you would have chased a few foul balls you could have saved a few dollars. Oh by the way in some places parents are prohibited from chasing foul balls for free snow cones.
And finally you leave the park all dusty and tired and your kids want to stop and get something to eat. Now you wonder how much it is going to cost to raise this future leader. All and all children are the leaders of tomorrow, many might not grow up to be the next home run king or even the next Mickey mantle but they might be the next county commissioner or even a lawyer, than you will ask yourself it was worth the time and effort you as a parent put into raising your child.
But than what do I know I am just a make believe person. I am Frankie tuxedo Zuniga.

Kingsville,tx. Now that man that owes money to ever clown in town, here is David duran.
Como estan and how was fan fare this year? Now for the barrio news for today;
Several crack heads arrested for walking around in the underwear.
Barrio member calls FBI,
And finally barrio landlord arrested for false statements.
It was reported that the owners of apartment units, arrested their managed this past Saturday. It seem que Raul Montes, had leased his apartment out in which he lived for free. He is supposed to watch the apartments and live on the grounds. But he tried to be tricky and rented out his unit and acting like he lived there. Well for some reason or another he ran off the person that he rented his apartment for no reason and that person called the owners and reported to them what was going on. The owners came down and ran Mr. Raul and filed charges against him.
In another incident the FBI was called to investigate a conspiracy reported to them by the only crazy women in the barrio. This barrio crazy woman is known for her action and false claims she has made before. It seemed que the woman wanted to share this with the FBI, but was affair to expose the conspiracy. Well somehow or another the FBI found out and went and picked her up for questioning. No details have been given on what is going to happen to her for these false claims.
And finally several crack heads were arrested by constable cadena this past weekend at our local chicano park. It seems this crack heads told el constable que they were gathering some sun rays as they laid out in their underwear during the day. It seems that during that time of day the park was full of children and parents. Charges will be filed.

barrio stock market report for 03182010

barrio stock market for 03182010.
Cchwnn.
Kingsville, Tx. Hello again I am urbano yosabatodo, con this week’s barrio stock market report . First let’s start con that great idea of starting a barrio theme park here in the hood. Man oh man everybody is so excited about this economic development here in the hood que we all are buying stock as I speak. You know this theme park idea will put our whole world on the map, heck yea, that’s what we are talking about.
Now for our barrio stock market report:
Los tamales: El tamale broker manuel Gonzales, from “tamales in the hood company”, issued a statement responding to recent comments made by another barrio Group, another large tamale broker , that it wants to restructure its relationship with “tamales in the hood company” say “Le barrio tamales” ceo, Pete Diaz, it doesn't plan to renew its 15-year right to purchase agreement with Gonzales company, when it expires in 2011, a move that eliminates the requirement to provide “tamales in the hood company” with the right to acquire company-owned facilities covered by that agreement.
Pete Diaz also said it doesn't anticipated developing any new projects with Gonzale’s barrio financing at all due to the fact que it has the most highest interest rates in the hood. Diaz also stated que it’s attributed these decisions to being able to find a lower cost of capital than its present lease rates with Gonzales. For its part, Manuel Gonzales tells us que, it's in the process of evaluating “le barrio tamales” intentions. Tamales ended the week at higher than last year price of $6.00 a dozen.

Las empandas: Las empandas Tuesday lifted its outlook from its first quarter earnings of 75 to 79 cents an empanada, with sales growth of 13% to 14% this quarter 2010. The empanada group from them makers, to them seller from across the rail road tracks, named “esta gringo bakery”, previously forecast earnings of 56 to 61 cents an empanada for the period with a high single to low double-digit percentage increase in sales. The company attributed the higher view to better than expected sales at its new bakery stores on our side of the tracks, and improved gross profits as a percentage of sales. Expense control also exceeded expectations for the quarter. The stock closed Thursday up 13 cents. Las empanadas ended the week at $.79 cent each.

Las tortillas: Las tortillas, has one ever question the question on how the invasion of flour real kicked in? who knows and who cares. We just don’t have it the way it use to be. Come home and smell that great homemade smell de tortillas. What can I say, tortillas ended the week at $1.25 a dozen.

La barbacoa de caveza: La barbacoa de caveza took a big turn of events. Now with the rebirth of that mad cow disease close to our hood, sales went down a bit but raza remember it only affects gringos. La barbacoa ended the week at $4.50 a lb. The lowest it has been in several years.

Los taquitos : Los taquitos ended the week at the lowest in many many months. Several small barrio restaurants have agreed to lower the price just to stay in business. The number of taco stands still operating was larger than last year but what got us was that more and more barrio members are thinking of stay home and making their own breakfast. Los taquitos ended the week at the highest it has been in years, $1.25 cents each, and does not including a cup of java.

And finally cheap beer: Well now that the local cops read our report a few weeks ago, they are now searching the hood for that wine maker who has had a big in pack in our hood sells of beer. Cheap beer ended the week at $4.65 a six pack.

BARRIO WANT ADS:

hejola report for 03182010

hejola report for 03182010.
Cchwnn.
Kingsville,tx. Once again I am Maria La Vandia con todays barrio hejola report. But can we talk. Ok spring break is almost over for many of us and just starting for others. Now we are preparing ourselves for that Easter thing. Now now let’s don’t go crazy and spend more than what we have too. Now have we started saving for xmas yet? Now for our award winning headline news:
Barrio scout lost in the hood,
Illegal aliens in the increase on our side of the tracks.
And once again garage sale permits go up.
Friday afternoon the city fathers and mothers published the new 2010 and 2011 rates for thinks you can do from your home. One of the increases was garage sale permits vs. front yard sales. The debate was which was which. The garage sale permits when from $10.oo a day to $15.00 A day vs. a front yard sales from $2.oo a day to $3.00. one of the city spoke person told us que people on this side of town didn’t have front yards and if they did, we didn’t want them stepping on their front yard grass, if any. A petition will be passed around the hood to see if we can lower these rates.
In other news, los vato locos volunteer fire fighther’s along con el constable and a few crack head volunteers have been searching the hood for a barrio scout who got lost this weekend on their monthly barrio camping trip. The barrio scout leader, Mingo lets go camping Carter, told us que the boys were have so much fun que they didn’t realize que one of them was missing until around 9:oo. Pm. A ten block areas has been blocked off and are searching ever tree and in the area. The parents of this scout have not been told. But we do plan to as soon as we realize que we can’t find him. But if you do see esta kid, please let us know at our new location 623 west elle. A real small reward has been offered. Really, a real small reward.
And finally as expected the constable tells us que an increase of legal and illegal aliens have hit the hood. Just in the past few weeks el constable has had to either arrest or take home a few drunk immigrants. Chinga some of estos can’t hold their alcohol and in some case have caused trouble here in some of las cantinas. It’s very important to teach estos pincha mojados how to drink that cheap beer.
Ok there you have raza for today’s barrio headline news from our new location 623 west elle and not at 918 north Armstrong. Have a great tejano day.

Now for the barrio headline news:
Two vato’s on motor scooters get run off from Chicano park,
Security guard busted for urinating on apartment playground,
finally, constable cadena arrives just in time to break fight at mall.
The constable report said que as he drove up to the Westinghouse barrio mall, a man and female were arguing outside the mall area. When he got there. I was just about to get off and go eat a donut when I hear this voices coming from around the corner. It seems que el senior Juan pistolas had his x-wife in Juana, in chokehold when he heard her screaming for help. Somehow el constable managed to tackle el senior without hurting la wife. Both were taken to constable office and will be referred to some counseling.
El constable cadena was called to el Chicano park yesterday afternoon. It seems que this two crack heads were joy riding their three wheel motor scooter inside the park lawn. Of course you and I know que you can’t be doing that. So once constable cadena got their attention, he asked que please stay off the grass or go home. The two vatos left the park.
And finally, a security guard, for Heaveno Apartments was arrested yesterday afternoon by city police from across the tracks, along con constable cadena. It seems que esta vato, the security guard, Hector Lacosa, age 78, had just, well, urinated in the apartments playground, and then tried to covered up the pee-tainted spot with wood chips and some soft sand.. But when police and the constable cadena went to check with the security guard office, it turned out that mr. Hector lacosa wasn't even on duty that night, but had been seen on the premise. They, the police and constable cadena went over to mr lacosa’s home at 407 west Richard and noticed que he had several wet spots on the front of his pants. Charges are pending.
Well raza there you have it. Have a great day, from our command post that 1978 ford whatever. Bye.

hejola report for this spring break 03152010

Hejola report for this week’s spring break 03152010
Cchwnn.
Kingsville, TX. Olay raza from my back yard swimming pool. I am Maria la vandia, wearing my home made g-string. Well raza it’s going to bee a long weekend con todos naked men and some women wearing almost nothing, that is why we are going to be giving our report all week from right here. But now let’s get to our barrio headline news:
Barrio community garden group looking for members,
One-legged vato finds the other missing leg,
And finally fishing line nearly kills la commadre Rosie.
Yesterday afternoon los vato locos volunteers firefighters were called to the corner of wells and third street where it was reported by el constable cadena que la commadre Rosie was being treated for neck and head injuries. It seems que el compadre hector Cantu had laid out his fishing line in the back yard and la commadre didn’t see it and nearly killed herself. La commadre had razor burn type of bruises around her neck and head. She was taken to st. pauls barrio medical center at the mall for treatment.
In other good news, el vato pedro Estrada had some real good news this past Sunday when he was trying to walk back from church. It seems que pedro had lost his left leg a few years ago and was given a plastic one to replace it. Well pedro known for losing shit, lost the his left plastic leg a few days ago. But as he walked back from church he found it in a ditch never his home. It seems que now he remembered on how it got there.
And finally our barrio community garden group is looking for a few good honest hard working persons that love to work outside and stay up late at night. The barrio group is looking for new members to help them watch the crops in a few weeks. Present members are kind of worried que los crack heads in the hood might just beat them to this year’s crops. If interested and own a pellet gun, please contact us at cchwnn@netscape for application. We believe you will have a good time.

We raza there you have it, have a great spring break and remember the children are out of school, so drive very careful in the hood. I am maria la vandia, have a great spring break and a tejano day.

interview con vernonica y avance2010

Exclusive interview con Veronica y Avance 2010.
Cchwnn.
Grand Prairie, Texas. Hi I am Blanca Blanch Blanco con this week’s
exclusive interview con Veronica lead singer Del group Avance. Together
since 2005, this young group has taken the tejano industry to the next
level. The band has a youthful energy not seen in awhile for tejano
groups.
The term practice is part of their lives and has shown it pays off in
recent years, such as 2006 tejano Vegas showcase band of the year.
Veronica has managed to build a bridge between old school tejano and
modern day tejano.
It is an honor to have walked this far to cover this story, and now let’s
get to the interview.

BBB: gee, I want to thank you for allows us time to conduct this
interview?

Ver: No problem at all! I cant believe you walked this far to interview
me... I would have just picked up the phone and done the interview the old
fashion way! You rock!

BBB: let’s start off with tell me about yourself or a walk me through your
resume?

Ver: Well I'm 20 yrs old (21 on Mar 25!!) Ive been singing professionally
since I was 15. I’m a 4th generation musician and like to spend time
helping in the community.I've done events with the American Heart Associcaition, Avance Dallas,
fundraisers for Lupus research and I am now working with organizers to
raise money for Diabetes research and education in our culture and young
people.

BBB: Great, "Tell me about a goal that you've set for yourself and how you
went about achieving it."?

Ver: Well my first Goal is to have fun. Life is too short to not enjoy
what you are doing. But besides that, I think I have been put in a
position and have the opportunity to reach people in a way that few people
get. and I also have a goal of selling a million records :)
I'll let you know how that turns out.

BBB: if it’s possible Veronica, tell us what is your greatest weakness en
la onda tejana for a female singer?

Ver: What Weakness!? Females Rock! ... although I do have this obsession
with Mafia Wars on my facebook... so does that count?

BBB: Working with young men do you find it difficult to deal with men?

Ver: : Except for the fighting, yelling, and screaming, it's not difficult
at all :) LOL. These guys are my family and it's just like every family. I
love these guys.

BBB: In the future do you see yourself collaborating with other artist
and how do you feel about doing something like that?

VER:I would LOVE to collaborate with other artist out there, we have
actually started thinking of some names and ideas for the 3rd cd. First we
wanted to establish our name on our own and once we have that then we will
move on to collaborating with other artist in the industry!

BBB. You spoke of the 3rd CD, but lets talk about the second cd entitiled
"Theory of Evolution". What can we expect from this second effort?

VER. Well this cd is our first 100% original cd. We literally built a
Recording Studio from the ground up, wrote all the songs, recorded,
mastered, did the graphic design and everything. It's a lil scary putting
something out there like this because you put so much of yourself into it.
On the Cd itself you can expect some great music from beginning to end.
This cd doesnt have filler songs. That was something very important to me
because it always seemed that the great tejano artists have cd's like
that. you can pop them in and never feel the need to hit the forward
button. We also experimented a lil bit too with the idea of doing tejano
material in english so its going to be interesting to see peoples reaction
to this.

BBB: I consider you as a tejana star, do you think you can change the
world of tejano music and if you think you can in which way?

Ver: Yes. Next question. ;) lol JK. You know what... I consider myself a
next generation artist so I think i should be responsible for creating
next generation fans. I dont know about changing the world of Tejano
music... but if i can just reach the next generation I'd be happy with
that.

BBB; you know many tejano groups never get the chance to travel out of
this great state of Texas, never less a showcase, I understand that you
have even perform in Las Vegas, my god Veronica tells about that
experience?

Ver: Yeah that was a pretty cool time for us, I was 17 yrs old at the time
and it was for a Battle of the Bands. We were up against 8 bands around
the nation and we took home the prize!!!! LOL and it was funny because the
main reason we won in my opinion is because we played a polka that was
really fast and danced around like fools while we played it.

BBB: When you perform are the majority of your fans men or women?

Ver: You know we have a pretty mixed crowed but believe it or not Ive
noticed most of my fans are little girls around the 4-12 yr mark, and I
find that one of the best parts about being in this business is being able
to connect the them. I know the feeling of looking at the girl on stage
and wanting to do what shes doing, Like I said I grew up in music and I
remember being young and wanting to be on stage. I don't even think it
mattered what I was doing on stage I just wanted to be up there, and now I
am and I would give it up for the world.

BBB; if you were given the opportunity to speak with a thousand young men
and women what would you say to them?

Ver: I would tell them to not ignore opportunities that are right in frnt
of them. This world, and your life is what you make of it. ... and may the
force be with you!

BBB: at this time Veronica I want to thank again for this interview and as
you might already know that I had to walk over to conduct this, so for our
news network thanks.

Ver: Thank you so much for everything! I really enjoyed this interview.
... and tell those guys to get you a cell phone. Those guys are mean!

BBB: as l left Grande Prairie, Texas, you being to wonder how such a
beautiful young women and talented be found. I am sure there many more
veronica to come in la onda tejana. I am Blanca Blanck Blanco and on my
way back to Kleberg county con a smile on my face.

interview con Q-95 Lady DI

Cchwnn : exclusive interview con Q-95, Lady Di.
Cchwnn.
Hello again I am Blanca Blanch Blanco here con a very special interview. It took me three days and two nights to get here and met up Diane Avina, aka q95 Lady DI. She is a very interesting woman, and is well known throughout the mid west. Has been on the airwaves for about ten years and is a devoted tejana. She has her own tejano radio show on Sundays radio station WQTE.FM. AROUND 3 PM TO 6 PM. And can be heard throughout the southwest MIch. And northern Ohio. She also runs the TTMA radio show and Tejano Classic Radio. So let’s get to her interview:

BBB: hello Di como esta? I want to thank you for giving us directions and the time to do this very important interview?

DI:I am doing well thank you, glad you all didn't get lost, it's a pleasure.

BBB: tells us what motivated you to become interested in being a Disc Jockey
DI: Actually, it just fell into my lap, the previous DJ quit without notice, my daughter worked at the station and told them that I was a big fan and followed Tejano music and had a big selection of Tejano music, they called me and wanted to know if I wanted to give it a try so I did and here I am, stilll there 10 years later. Loving what I do.
BBB: did you find it difficult to start a tejano program in your area?
DI: Actaully Q95 Tejano Hits was already on the air when I took over. The prior DJ played a mixture of spanish music when I took over I started to play nothing but Tejano music and progressive conjunto.
BBB: after reviewing your web-page I noticed that you have lots of tejano dances down here, what is the general view of la onda in this area?
DI:La Onda si great. Tejano music is in high demand, the dances are always packed, it doesn't matter if it is a band from Texas or a local band, point blank Tejano music is alive in The Midwest.
BBB: I am sure you have heard and read que la onda is dying and this and that, which of course we don’t agree, what is your take on that question and the future of la onda tejano up here in the mid west?
DI: I totally disagree when people say that La onda is dying. Here in my area people are hungry for the music, We have great bands in the midwest such as Grupo Dezeo, Sensacion, La Coporacion that have been together for over 25 years, we have recording artist such as Los Carnales, Tejano Sound Band, and Grupo Aldaco they are well supported in the Midwest, We have taken our talent to the Fan Fair in San Antonio and recived great praise, people from Texas can't believe we have such great music and musicians here in The Midwest.
BBB: in your opinion, what is the differences between old school tejano and the new frontier tejano?
DI:I would have to say old school used more key boards, the new tejano uses more accordion. However, it doesn't matter to me because I love it all.
BBB: DI, do you have your own style of broadcasting your program?
DI:No certian style I am just myself, I am the same person on the air that I am at home, very down to earth. Very truthfull and open. I play all new music by all new artist that is sent to me. No rotation like other staions. I play what my listeners want to hear, I have a very busy program. I take dedications for 1 hr and I get an average of about 30-40 calls in 1 hour.
BBB: what have been some of the barriers you have encounter in doing this show these long?
DI: Actually believe it or not I have not encountered any barriers, The station is a 24 hour country station, they give me my time every Sunday. The country listeners stay tuned when I go on at 3, they are dedicated listeners, thy even call in dedications. What I think is great is that I have alot of children and teens that also listen to me, it make me feel great when they ( the little ones)call in dedications for their relatives. I have listeners of all ages, and different razas, Its full fills my life and makes me realize that La Onda is alive and kicking in this area,

BBB what is the future for Q-95v , Lady DI?
DI: To continue to do what I am doing, playing the best in Tejano music, and hopefully get my show on the internet someday.
BBB: we want to thank you for your time and now DI if you can point which way is south than I will be on my way?

DI:Your welcome the pleasure was mine and head towards the warm weather. Cause it's not here.

BBB: as we leave the cold weather headed south , I have always wonder how it felt flying south, now I know. I am Blanca Blanch Blanco.

Kingsville,tx. Hello again I am lewis mojo lewis with this week’s barrio headline news:
Crack parent threw her only cat in front of moving bicycle,
Two more get arrested for stealing,
And finally fight breaks out at bingo house.

Yesterday afternoon several folks were arrested at our home bingo center for some reason or another. The details were very not clear once we put together today’s report. But some folks tell us que it all started due to fact que one of the person that won the big prize, a big basket of can foods was either not seen or heard him yell bingo, when the bingo caller thought that all the winning cards had been seen, he start another run, that’s when one of the customers raised and started swing and punching at any one or anybody that got close to him. We will have more details hopefully later in the day.
Two vato’s were arrested yesterday afternoon at the corner of third and wells for stealing hubcaps from parked cars. Si said la senora Martinez who was sitting inside her car when she saw and then hears someone messing with her hubcaps, she immediate called 811 and was able to see and identify the two vato’s who were arrested later by el constable cadena.
And finally, a few crack heads just don’t know when to stop doing that shit. It seems que Mary Lou Espinoza was arrested for trying to get her cat either killed or injured when she tossed it in front of juan lopez el coco driving his bicycle. In doing that juan avoiding hitting the cat buy managed to run into a parked car, causing him to flip into the air and then he hit the ground with his head. Once los vatos loco volunteer fire fighter got to the scène, juan had already gotten on his bicycle an drove himself over to the Westinghouse barrio mall St. Pauls medical center for treatment. No arrested were made yet but the cat was taken away from its own protection.
Well raza there you have it for today.

Kingsville,tx. Hello again como estan I am bill diaz back from that no paid holiday that our creator or want to be decided not provide. And I am sorry for the comment I made about the folks in Kansas. Anyhow here is our award winning barrio headline news:
Commadre sues la familia Ruiz for buy used spectacle lense.
El compadre Martin Saenz arrested for stealing eyeglasses at barrio mall.
And finally Thomas Garza trying to rob el barrio bank.
El constable cadena arrested Thomas Garza charged him when he twice entered the barrio bank and approached a clerk, with a plastic bag over his head and told the clerk que he had some magic powder in his front pocket and was going to blow it into her face that would provoke her sexual drive, if she didn’t fork up the money. Of course she refused and he finally walked away. He was picked up about a mile down the street. El constable tells us que he was taken to the lalalal farm across the tracks.
Esta pincha Johnnie B. Gonesses, was arrested shortly after he left the Westinghouse barrio mall con several pair of expensive eyeglasses he stole from several stores. He did admit que the ones he took he really liked and told el constable que he had a problem con steal stuff. And that he never took anything that he didn’t want.
And finally, The only way la commadre could have past the driver’s test last week if she would have been wearing the right prescription lenses. But for the sake of saving money she decided to go and buy a used pair at la familia Ruiz garage sale last weekend. She suffered headache after headache and felt nausea for several days. Until she figured out que the glasses she bought weren’t going to do the job. So she decided to go sue the family for the wrong lenses. La familia Ruiz weren’t able to comment on this case until she hires a lawyer. Oh by the way she failed the test.
Ok raza there you have it for today, I am Bill diaz and glad to be back.

Kingsvillet, tx Now that man que the IRS is looking for and has a way not to pay child support, here is our own vato of the year David duran. Heaveno raza, well I am back from a small vacation we took south of the local checkpoint. And is there traffic or what and gas is some expensive que we almost didn’t make it back con $5.00 of gas. Thank god que we got the gas mixed up con diesel que the storeowner blame it on his poor staff attendan . Yea right., Anyhow we made it home and now con the today’s headline news:
20% of the hood members move first of the month,
A homeless gringo picked up for asking for donations at the Westinghouse barrio mall.
And WESTINGHOUSE BARRIO MALL approves barrio storage units.
WESTINGHOUSE BARRIO MALL management approved a barrio storage unit to be built extend two more floors. The mall will now house three floors of puro storage rooms for rent. La families Zapata family owners of the new proposed Barrio storage unit, will open 30 Barrio storage units. It’s a great place to storage that stuff one don’t need or being hauling around for years. Los Zapata’s say que la raza is always looking for storage space. Excess to the third floor is still being planned, “It’s no problem building the storage units on the third floor, the trouble is how to get your stuff up there” says the assistant to the assistant mall manager. Several options are being considers on how to drive onto the third floor.
In other news, it was estimated que at least one out of five barrio family members move at the first of the month. After driving around the hood this weekend, my god was it busy. I swear it was mad out there today. Raze coming and going, going and coming and some not every coming back. The results of our estimates did not indicate reason why people move, but I am sure que there are many reasons. We could list a list of reason, we would, but we’re moving right now.
And finally A gringo man huddled in front of the Westinghouse barrio mall, asking that "donations" be placed in a cup. Was arrested for falsely asking for donation. The cup said for his education. It seemed que the man, James Wilcox or Dr. Wilcox was released after he had been arrested for asking for donation to pay for his education. Since he already had a dr. degree and had suffered a nervous breakdown a few years later, and lately has the habit of repeating mathematical formulas out loud and sharing them con the general public. He was taken back to the other side of the track and was admitted to lalala home for lalala people.
Well folks thank god que I already live in alalalala land. I am David duran for our 1978 ford whatever and remember
Your business is our business and my business is none of your business.

Kingsville,Tx. Hi ! I am Lewis mojo Lewis with today’s award winning headline news:
Two news gay open in the hood.
Ten more people arrested for illegal garage sales.
And another truck load of chickens get loose.
If two truckloads weren’t enough, how about a third truck load of chickens turned over again and 35 chickens made a run for it. El senor Paul Garcia told us that there is something going on at our chicken farm. It seems that every other month one of our delivery trucks has had trouble driving through past the hood. El constable will investigate this matter. Oh, by the way a small reward is being offered for the return of some of the chickens.
A major crack down occurred this weekend when at least 10 barrio members were arrested for having garage sales without permits. The city fathers and mothers pasted a rule a few years ago that anyone interested on having a garage or yard sale must have a permit. Charges will be filed tomorrow, with fines might be as high as ten dollars.
And finally, “please tell me it’s not true” and “I’ll be back” are the two new gay bars that just opened at the dark side of the hood. Both bars are owner by Jake Black Molina and was very excited that he can provide this kind of entertainment to all tejanos and tejanas. He told this reporter that you can wear any outfit you might not wanted to wear at a regular bar. He tells us that there will be drink specials and lots of dancing and drag shows on the weekend. So for a walk on the wild side come on down.
Well there you have it for today, I am Lewis mojo Lewis.

Kingsville, TX. Hello again I am alcardio samudio, bill is on vacation. Wow it’s the end of the month and we are already broke. My god gives me a arm and a leg, please. Will we ever have enough money to pay monthly bills? Now for our barrio headline news:
Barrio man arrested after making car payment.
Two more arrested for holding up barrio ice cream man.
And finally barrio man tries to kill himself.
El constable was summon to the resident of Palito Gomez, age 58, when he told his family que he didn’t have enough money to pay this month bills. So Palito did the only thing he could come with and that was tried to kill himself by hanging himself in the back room. The only problem was the water hoes he used was made out of plastic and since he weighed about 300 lbs, it stretched so much that he was standing up within seconds. At that moment his family discovered him past out on the floor con major plastic neck rope burns, that required 918 services. He was taken to the lalala farm across the tracks for observations.
If things could not be worse for la familia Cantu, when for the fifth time this month their barrio ice cream truck was held up by two unknown vatos. The driver tells us que the guys that held him up again were wearing wrestlers masks. El constable is looking any information pertaining to this incident. A large snow cone is being offered for any information.
And finally, El senor Martin Charles was arrested yesterday on charges of arm robbery and left the scene of a robbery. El senor Charles thought he was pretty cute when he made his payment on his car and came right back wearing a wrestlers mask pero con the same clothes. It didn’t take the constable long to find him down the street. Charges will be filed.
Any we thought we had it bad, I am Alcardio Samuido, good day.
