barrio stock market for 03182010.
Cchwnn.
Kingsville, Tx. Hello again I am urbano yosabatodo, con this week’s barrio stock market report . First let’s start con that great idea of starting a barrio theme park here in the hood. Man oh man everybody is so excited about this economic development here in the hood que we all are buying stock as I speak. You know this theme park idea will put our whole world on the map, heck yea, that’s what we are talking about.
Now for our barrio stock market report:
Los tamales: El tamale broker manuel Gonzales, from “tamales in the hood company”, issued a statement responding to recent comments made by another barrio Group, another large tamale broker , that it wants to restructure its relationship with “tamales in the hood company” say “Le barrio tamales” ceo, Pete Diaz, it doesn't plan to renew its 15-year right to purchase agreement with Gonzales company, when it expires in 2011, a move that eliminates the requirement to provide “tamales in the hood company” with the right to acquire company-owned facilities covered by that agreement.
Pete Diaz also said it doesn't anticipated developing any new projects with Gonzale’s barrio financing at all due to the fact que it has the most highest interest rates in the hood. Diaz also stated que it’s attributed these decisions to being able to find a lower cost of capital than its present lease rates with Gonzales. For its part, Manuel Gonzales tells us que, it's in the process of evaluating “le barrio tamales” intentions. Tamales ended the week at higher than last year price of $6.00 a dozen.

Las empandas: Las empandas Tuesday lifted its outlook from its first quarter earnings of 75 to 79 cents an empanada, with sales growth of 13% to 14% this quarter 2010. The empanada group from them makers, to them seller from across the rail road tracks, named “esta gringo bakery”, previously forecast earnings of 56 to 61 cents an empanada for the period with a high single to low double-digit percentage increase in sales. The company attributed the higher view to better than expected sales at its new bakery stores on our side of the tracks, and improved gross profits as a percentage of sales. Expense control also exceeded expectations for the quarter. The stock closed Thursday up 13 cents. Las empanadas ended the week at $.79 cent each.

Las tortillas: Las tortillas, has one ever question the question on how the invasion of flour real kicked in? who knows and who cares. We just don’t have it the way it use to be. Come home and smell that great homemade smell de tortillas. What can I say, tortillas ended the week at $1.25 a dozen.

La barbacoa de caveza: La barbacoa de caveza took a big turn of events. Now with the rebirth of that mad cow disease close to our hood, sales went down a bit but raza remember it only affects gringos. La barbacoa ended the week at $4.50 a lb. The lowest it has been in several years.

Los taquitos : Los taquitos ended the week at the lowest in many many months. Several small barrio restaurants have agreed to lower the price just to stay in business. The number of taco stands still operating was larger than last year but what got us was that more and more barrio members are thinking of stay home and making their own breakfast. Los taquitos ended the week at the highest it has been in years, $1.25 cents each, and does not including a cup of java.

And finally cheap beer: Well now that the local cops read our report a few weeks ago, they are now searching the hood for that wine maker who has had a big in pack in our hood sells of beer. Cheap beer ended the week at $4.65 a six pack.
